The Mathematics of the Great Pyramid

                                                                                                             Third Line

Third Line is one side of an equilateral triangle, and is created exactly half way in the symbolic two dimensional process of transforming the un-manifested All into the manifested All by way of the construction of  all possible straight lines. The equilateral triangle is the first of infinite regular (equal sided) polygons,* the geometric forms containing the fundamental principles of all Matter.  Because Third Line is exactly half way in the process of Idea becoming Form, the invisible becoming visible, and  One becoming Two, Third Line represents the entire Action part of Idea-Action-Form process of Creation. Third Line represents becoming, and is all verbs.

The various stages of this action process can be illustrated with isolated stop-time drawings. These start with a drawing of a circle whose circumference is composed of dots for illustrative purposes. This represents the invisible un-manifested Universe, One, All, and God. Superimposed  over this dotted circle is First Line, a solid line, which represents the parameters of the manifested All, Time and Space.

Like its three dimensional counterpart, the single cell, the two circles begin the action that will part them by moving away from each other until they are two separate entities, transforming the invisible un-manifested All into the visible manifested All. During this Action  the two circles curved lines are in continuous contact at two points as they slide across each other and between these continuously changing points, a straight line can be drawn.

When each circle’s curved line passes through the others center, One is exactly half way to becoming Two, no longer just un-manifested but not yet wholly manifested, half of all possible straight lines have been created, the last one being Third Line, one side of the circle’s first regular polygon, the equilateral triangle. In this halfway position the un-manifested and the manifested share a common radius.

Because straight lines are measurable, the first straight line numerical relationship is formed between Third Line and Second Line. This ratio can be expressed as Second Line being  1.154700538 longer than Third Line, or that Third Line is .866025403 to Second line. 11547.00538 inches (ten thousand times this ratio) is twice the height of the Great Pyramid, or the diameter of the circle which has the height of the Great Pyramid as its radius. This ratio has an unusual equation with the Great Pyramid’s square base or any conceivable square base having the Great Pyramid’s height in which certain straight lines within the square delivers all possible pi ratios (First Line divided by Second line).

The second numerical ratio developed is ratio between Third line and the circles yet to be formally materialized Sixth Line (radius) which forms a cross with Third line. Third Line divided by Sixth Line is  1.732050808 (the square root of 3) and Sixth Line divided by Third Line is .577350269, the inverse of the square root of three. When Third Line measures one, Sixth Line measures .577350269, which, times 10,000 is the height of the Great Pyramid in inches. The Great Pyramid is what occupies the space between the two circle’s centers, is the common radius of the two circles and is one third of the space between one side of the un-manifested and the opposite side of the manifesting circle, the total measure being 1.73250808, the square root of 3. This geometric cross formed from Third Line and Sixth Line is called the Visica Pisces (the eye of the fish) and has long been considered the geometric birth canal of life and is used as the basic floor plan for sacred buildings in all cultures.

However, this most important of all ratios can’t be determined numerically at this point in the process of Creation because the relationship between any straight line and the circle’s un-measurable curved line hasn’t been established yet. Although a curved line can’t be measured with a mechanical tool, its relationship to a straight line can be known, and this knowing happens in the domain of Fourth Line.
